Men of Justice

James Hastings is an 18 year old filmmaker based in Hampshire. After being engulfed into the wonders of motion pictures at the age of 12 by his idol ‘Steven Spielberg’. James took his first few steps on his epic adventure into cinema, by making a short film with family and friends and screening it in a local art house cinema.

 

He then set up his own independent production company ‘Hastings Infinity Films’ and has been writing and directing a wide variety of films since. Including a short feel-good drama which was accepted into the Cannes film festival in 2015 as well as his latest 2 hour feature film ‘Raymond’s 5’ funded by a successful kickstarter campaign. A motivational dramedy delving into the story of a man being told that he has only 30 days left to live who sets out on a journey of redemption that takes him to the furthest reaches of Britain as he searches for the five people he has wronged the most. Raymond’s voyage of self-discovery entangles him in the lives of others, leading him to question his own life, and where his story will take him.

 

James has reached a conclusion that his films will focus on the spectacle and beauty in life and will be used to demonstrate and enlighten the world reminding everyone of all the good things in life.

 

James is busy in pre-production on his latest project ‘Believe what you hear’ a short musical based on an unlikely bond between a despondent Muslim man and a young inspirational boy. With a family wedding approaching and with terror as a strong threat to society the boy helps the man to see the good things in life and to stop worrying about how people are judging him solely based on his religion.
